- !Check (10AP) - View an enemy's current and max HP.
Useful early-game, but the White Mage spell Libra does the same thing and comes with more useful spells. This is a filler ability and should be replaced with something useful when possible. - Learning (20AP) - Allows character to learn Blue Magic spells.
Solely useful for letting other jobs learn Blue Magic spells. This is a situational ability and thus not something you should leave on most of the time, but it's still handy to have. Pointless to equip on Blue Mages since they already have it as a passive. - !Blue (70AP) - Allows character to cast Blue Magic. Also gives the Magic stat (47) of the Blue Mage job.
Blue Magic is one of the most versatile skill sets in the game, with solid damage options in Aeraga and Goblin Punch, defensive spells in White Wind and Mighty Guard, and all sorts of utility spells too numerous to list here. Pointless command to put on a Blue Mage of course, but invaluable for every other job. - !Scan (250AP) - View an enemy's current and max HP, any elemental weaknesses, and any status effects they currently have.
One of the worst ultimate abilities. It's a slightly better Libra, but by the time you get it you'll have so many more powerful and useful abilities that it makes no sense to choose this ability over any of them. The worst part is it doesn't even work on most bosses! Hard pass.
